The guest speaker for our December monthly meeting was the Crime Prevention Officer from Hornsby Police. The Police Officer covered safety in the home, when travelling and shopping, and the different types of scams. This was a great reminder on what we all need to look out for these days and how we can best protect ourselves.
The proposed bush walk along the Gibberagong walking track was cancelled due to the heavy overnight rain. We had a great turn out for our Christmas Lunch at Asquith Golf Club. Although it was held under easing COVID-19 restrictions applying at the time, the Club couldn’t do enough for us. We were extremely well looked after, and enjoyed the great food and company. Around the middle of the month we had a very enjoyable morning tea at the Ladybird Cafe in the Four Seasons Plant Bug in Mount Colah.
Unfortunately, with the escalating number of people testing positive for COVID-19 on Northern Beaches, and the NSW Governments request to restrict all non urgent gatherings, we agreed to cancel our second morning tea, a casual lunch planned for Pie in the Sky and the Amblers walk, just to be on the safe side.
