We had another busy month starting with 12 members and guests attending the Melbourne Cup Garden Party at CoHo Berowra. The food was most enjoyable and the company excellent as usual.
Three keen bushwalkers followed the Birrawanna walking track in the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and met up with another member for morning tea at Bobbin Head.

Members enjoyed two morning teas, the first at Bobbin Inn Cafe, Bobbin Head and the next a little later in the month at Hornsby RSL Club.
Another outing saw 14 members and a guest head to the Central Coast to walk around the Mount Penang Gardens. We then had a most enjoyable and relaxing lunch at the Waterfall Cafe. After lunch most of us moved on to Henry Kendall Cottage for a look around the museum and cottage. We were provided with an excellent introduction to the history and background to the cottage by one of the volunteers. The majority of the group then headed to The Factory Central Coast to sample and purchase the fine chocolate, nougat and marshmallow made on the premises or at nearby businesses. We enjoyed afternoon tea or coffee before the drive home.
