2021 March news

Early in March we celebrated the Club’s second anniversary with a most enjoyable lunch at Pennant Hills Bowling Club.

A group of 14 members participated in Asquith Golf Club’s Trivia Night. We may not have been at the top of the leader board, but there was certainly a fun rivalry between our two tables. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we are looking forward to being back again next month for some more fun.

With the heavy rain over many days we decided to cancel the Amblers walk at Cumberland Sate Forest. This will be rescheduled for another time. The floods up stream and the debris on the Hawkesbury River meant we had to cancel our Dangar Island Walking Tour and Lunch, as it wasn’t safe for the ferry to operate. An alternative outing of a walk and lunch at Galston was arranged.

Later in the month 28 members were invited to tour the historic house and gardens of two of our members. Refreshments were provided thanks to their kindness. Afterwards we all headed to Hornsby for a delightful lunch at Thyme Square Cafe. As it was such a nice day, more members than we had booked for joined us for lunch, but we were all well catered for by the cafe.

Our next meeting is at 10:00 am Tuesday 13 April at Mount Colah Uniting Church.
